Since 2013 till today, Chennai airport has seen around 66 cases of falling glass panels. The news headlines read “Portion of false ceiling falls off at Chennai’s new domestic airport.” Or “False ceiling collapses again at Chennai International Terminal”.
The authorities claim that there has not been any injury so far. But, definitely there must be certain measures to be taken for the safety of people. So, for this purpose Government has come to a major conclusion to save the people from the breaking of false ceiling.
You must be thinking a better roof or something, but, you might be surprised to know it’s actually a mandatory helmet for every individual. As per the rules, the people boarding from Chennai are required to bring their own helmets, while the people coming from outside will be provided helmets before landing which will be collected back at the exit.
“Glass panels are falling down because of gravity, how do we fight mother earth?” said a senior authority in a report when asked why can’t they stop glass panels from falling down?
Now you can take some time, sit back and be amazed of the Government’s mind and the brilliance of Dramatic India.Share on Facebook
