Social messages through movies have always been one of the most persuasive ways to present oneself. Harsh, perilous and sensitive, but true, the themes used in these movies are based on our mentality or on the life of someone. Since the early 90s and before, till now there has been a number of movies which actually marked an impact on the industry and among audiences.

But what about Gay themed movies..Well have you heard about CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification), they believe the Indian audience is yet not ready for it.
Not that there haven’t been any gay themed movies as of now, but we do know the results. We are well aware of movies like My Brother Nikhil, Fire, Bombay Talkies, and a few more that has involved gay relationships in their story, like Kapoor and Sons, Page 3, Honeymoon travels and many more.
But today’s audience and the industry have become bold enough to face everything and come forward with the scripts like this. Gay theme movies and series are gaining importance and place in our ‘favorites’ collections. Audiences of web series are young and more open minded. Ready to accept the truth of life, accept what they want and not worry about society. Gen Y is bold and ready to experience everything in life.
