82yrs Old Ex Haryana CM Passes 12th Examination with First Division

They say, “YOU ARE NEVER REALLY OLD TO LEARN”, but not many follow this. And when they do, they can move mountains. This has been proved by former Haryana CM Om Prakash Chautala. 82 yrs old ex Haryana CM passes Class 12 exam from Tihar Jail. Not only does he pass his 12th board examination, but also did it with flying colors. His result shows ‘A’, i.e. first division as his passing grade.

Cautala was sent to Tihar Jail for the term of 10yrs in a teacher’s recruitment scam of 3,206 junior basic trained teachers in 2000 He is now planning to pursue an under graduation course for his further education. Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) supremo Chautala was on parole in April but he went back to jail for the examination as its centre was in Tihar.

Abhay Singh Chautala, his younger son and Leader of Opposition in Haryana Assembly confirmed, “The last exam was held on April 23. He was out on parole during that time, but since the examination centre was inside the jail premises, he went back to jail and sat for the exam.”

“He decided to utilise his jail term more meaningfully. Now, he goes to the jail library daily, where he reads newspapers and books. He asks the jail staff to arrange for his favourite books. He reads books about great politicians across the world. Sometime, he asks us to send course books also,” continues Abhay Singh Chautala.
